Welcome to WonderBowls

The Wonder Bowl was the first piece of Tupperware invented by Earl Tupper in 1946. Even now, over 60 years later, we still carry the Wonder Bowls from the Big Wonders, Little Wonders, to the Wonderliers. These are still some of the most popular pieces of Tupperware today, and the story of Tupperware's beginning, and the seeming failure that it almost was, seems surprising. Today, Tupperware is Forbe's second most recognised brand, but in 1946, Tupperware nearly fell before it ever had a chance. Check out the Library for a deeper look at Tupperware's shaky beginning.

Wonder Women in Tupperware

I believe that Brownie wise was one of the most influential women in the 1900's. Unfortunately, many people donn't even know she ever existed, nevertheless what contributions she made to the way we live today.

Brownie Wise was largely responsible for the success of Tupperware, and for creating the opportunity that many of us enjoy today. In late 1940's, Brownie was name the Vice President of Tupperware, and created a new division called Tupperware Home Parties. It was just almost unheard of for a woman in that time period to have such a prestigious title, and so much responsibility.

Brownie Wise had a belief in building women, and teaching them to be self reliant. She gave an entire generation of women the confidence and self esteem that they so sorely lacked. Women were expected to be obedient and quiet, and to do their jobs in the kitchen and the bedroom. For a very long time women were looked at as property and not as people. But Brownie Wise broke that mold, and continued to teach other women to do the same.

Brownie's vision for Tupperware was to have a sales force primarily made up of women. It was a liberation. Women would be influential, would make their own money, and would be given knowlege of how to help other women. It was powerful. Since Brownie Wise's time, hundreds of thousands of women have been helped through Tupperware, and eventually other companies that would employ the same method of marketing, allowing women to own a piece of the business, and to make their own decisions on the way it should be run.

Today, we have our own strong woman, Brooke Shields, who is our spokeswoman for Tupperware's Chain of Confidence. FOr over 60 years, we have been commited to Educating, Enlightening, and Empowering women, and we are now proud to bring to women the Chain of Confidence, which seeks to help girls find their inner voice and confidence in themselves, and to teach women how to make smart decisions for themselves. Without the confidence women have gained over the last decades, we couldn't have made it to where we are as a society today, and through Chain of Confidence, Tupperware will work to ensure that all women continue to have that opportunity to build themselves up, to empower women to know that they are capable of anything.
